This 1-hour online professional development session will equip teachers with practical strategies to support students in tackling the Minecraft Sustainable Tropical House Design Challenge.

Teachers will:

• Explore how Minecraft can be used as a tool for design thinking and STEM learning.

• Learn ways to guide students in connecting real-world sustainability concepts (shade, airflow, materials, energy use) with their in-game builds.

• Gain practical tips for facilitating collaboration, creativity, and reflection in the classroom.

• Access resources and ideas for adapting the challenge to suit a range of year levels and abilities.

By the end of the session, teachers will feel confident leading their students through the design challenge and encouraging them to showcase their learning through Minecraft.
