Since 2009, hundreds of teachers have joined the NT Math Camp to observe, learn, collaborate, and lead. Through immersive participation in our innovative Maths Worlds, teachers gain first-hand experience with advanced, modern mathematical topics designed to stretch thinking and spark classroom inspiration. It’s PD that’s practical, inspiring, and deeply valued—set in a fun, student-centred environment.

Thursday 4th September
3pm-4pm

This 1-hour online professional development session will equip teachers to support students tackling the Minecraft Sustainable Tropical House Design Challenge.

Teachers will:

Explore how Minecraft can be used as a tool for design thinking and STEM learning.

Learn ways to guide students in connecting real-world sustainability concepts (shade, airflow, materials, energy use) with their in-game builds.

Access resources and ideas for adapting the challenge to suit a range of year levels and abilities.

By the end of the session, teachers will feel confident leading their students through the design challenge and encouraging them to showcase their learning through Minecraft
