INTERSECT - Art Meets Science Workshop
Visit MAGNT for an evening connecting with educators, artists, and scientists who are passionate about the intersection of art and science in education.
This event will explore practical ways to strengthen teaching practice through collaboration across disciplines, helping teachers find new approaches to engage learners.
Hear from local artists and scientists, including Jasmine Jan, co-creator of Questacon’s Mangroves – Tales from the Tides exhibition, as they share their experiences working at the intersection of art and science.
The evening will also feature an interactive ‘speed collaboration’ session designed to spark ideas, build partnerships, and generate tangible outcomes that teachers can apply directly to their teaching.
This event is supported by Questacon, Charles Darwin University's Radicle Centre, The Science Teachers Association of the NT, the STEAM Teachers Association of the NT and The Art Educators of the NT. MAGNT's corporate Education Partner is the Ichthys Joint Venture.

Aimed at children aged 0-16, we are feeling the heat this July, with experiments, experiences, and investigations into how heat works, and how to keep cool! No registrations required, just drop in! All children must be accompanied by a suitable adult.

The Science and Engineering Challenge (SEC) is a nationwide STEM outreach program presented by the University of Newcastle in partnership with communities, Rotary clubs, universities and sponsors. Through the SEC, students experience aspects of science and engineering which they would not usually see in their school environment.

Sustainable House Day for renters
For this year’s Sustainable House Day, COOLmob are hosting an event tailored specifically for renters—showcasing practical, low-cost solutions to improve comfort and energy efficiency in rental homes.
Instead of opening homes, we will be using our Community Hub to give demonstrations on ways to make rental apartments 'cool' and help renters save on their energy bills.

Tiwi Futures Expo provides an opportunity for all Tiwi Islanders to explore positive options available for their futures. Radicle is taking their roadshow on a plane to take Technology to the Tiwis.

Take Flight - explore drone innovation in the Territory
The CDU Radicle Centre is Over the Moon to announce the launch of their first ever fully-fledged interactive exhibit in the Radicle Room. this May! And it’s DRONE Rrelated! To celebrate, Radicle will be launching the exhibit with a 3 hour drone extravanganza "Take Flight" This interactive experience has been lovingly put together by the CDU Radicle Centre in collaboration with NACAS, Digital Darwin, and The Exhibitinist.

World Astronomy Day at CSC
The evening kicks off with an introduction to the wonders of the night sky, followed by guided telescope viewing of planets and deep-sky objects. Enjoy a laser-pointer sky tour to learn about constellations and celestial highlights before diving back into more telescope observations.

Budding engineers soldering workshop
This session is an ideal introduction to soldering for up-and-coming engineers. Participants get to use basic tools and soldering iron through simple instructions in this hands-on session.
Registration for each participating child is essential. Adults must accompany participating children.

Territory Science Communicators Get-Together
Science communicators and educators in the Northern Territory are planning to meet up to explore how a dedicated NT branch of Australian Science Communicators (ASC) could strengthen their community. The event aims to bring the NT science communicators together to connect, share ideas, and discuss the future of science communication in the region. With support from CDU's Radicle, Inspired NT, the Museum and Art Gallery of the Northern Territory (MAGNT), Questacon, and the ASC, along with science communicators Alayna Hansen and Jane Thomas, this event will start a conversation about the direction of future gatherings and collaborations.
